God blessed Christ Our Redeemer with Pastor Holls, who was called to be our shepherd in May of 2019 After prayerfully considering the call, he decided to come out of retirement to accept the call. Rev Joel M. Holls I am originally from Little Valley, New York (south of Buffalo, NY) born in 1950, the son of an LC-MS pastor. When I graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, IL,in 1976, God called me to serve as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in the UP (Covington, Michigan). Since then I have served as the pastor of congregations Martin Luther in Punxsutawney, PA; Nazareth Lutheran in Buffalo, NY; Bethany Lutheran Trenton, NJ; and Angelica in Allen Park, MI. I retired in January, 2014, from full-time service and felt called to become available for Intentional Interim pastoral work. I was called to serve in that way at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Boston, MI, from November 2014, till April 2016, when God moved them to call a full-time pastor. I married Sue (nee Kropp) in 1972 who comes from the Niagara Falls, NY, area. We have been blessed with 3 children (David, James & Jill), and 3 grandchildren (Rilee, Olivia & Liliana). During my years serving full-time pastorates I studied to earn my STM from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, with a major in Pastoral Ministry. During my last few years at Angelica I took the training for Intentional Interim Ministry at classes offered at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. I pray that the Lord give me the wisdom and strength needed to provide for you what you need through this Call I received as the pastor of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. I also pray that you find in me the help I wish to be for you as we work together to the glory of God for the sake of the gospel of Jesus our Savior.
